Are you a proactive and engaging individual looking to progress their early career within procurement?
This is a hybrid working role with the requirement to attend our Salford office weekly, which ensures the team are in tune and close knit.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering a strategic procurement and commercial service for our Public Sector Organisation client collaborators with an allocated portfolio of categories.
- Supporting the endtoend tender process ensuring all parties are well informed and supported.
- Engaging with collaborators at all levels to support and assisting in an efficient and timely manner in order to establish and build on existing relationships.
- Meet customer requirements by demonstrating the best value for money, through compliance with category priorities and contracts, and by actively leading the marketplace through development of key strategies for customer, supplier, and contract management.
- Support the Senior Category Managers and Category Managers in delivery of cost and efficiency savings across a national footprint of Approved Organisations, by analysing current spend in specific categories to support the development of procurement/commercialstrategies.
What you'll bring:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with collaborators at all levels.
- The confidence to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise workload and good time management skills.
- Excellent IT and Microsoft Office skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with internal and external collaborators at all levels.
It would be great if you had:
- Public Sector or NHS exposure is desirable.
- CIPS or willingness to undertake.
- Knowledge of Procurement legislation and EU procurement law.
- Supplier interaction experience.
- Knowledge of the tendering process.
