As a Press Officer, you'll contribute to our purpose to build a healthier nation by supporting the PR & social media team to deliver the function strategy and plans.
The PR & social media team is responsible for developing and championing Nuffield Health's reputation and building awareness and trust with key stakeholders (beneficiaries, partners, media, industry, gov & policy makers) to support our purpose and deliver on our strategic objectives.
This role will support the Head of PR & social media, alongside the wider team on the delivering of integrated campaigns, as well as a very busy press office to drive awareness of Nuffield Health, whilst managing and protecting our reputation.
The individual must be an experienced Press Officer confident in managing press enquiries, whilst support on the implementation of integrated campaigns, as well as projects and initiatives that support our brand partnerships.
As our Press Officer you will:
Support the Head of PR & Social Media and wider team in managing a proactive press office
Help develop PR and social media plans that drive reach and engagement for the Nuffield Health brand
Work closely with our social media team to ensure seamless integration with PR
Develop and deliver the PR programme that brings to life our brand partnerships, including the FA
Develop content, media materials and social content for our own and earned channels
Prepare statements, briefing documents and Q&As for media handling
Work with our ambassador partners to create and produce content for use in campaigns and proactive press office
To succeed as our Press Officer you will have:
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or experience in a communications role within a large organisation
Experience of working within a Press Office or PR team in a fast-paced environment responding to media enquiries confidently and aware of when to refer up.
Proactive and reactive media engagement experience at a national levelExperience of developing and implementing communications campaigns and measuring their effectiveness
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in messaging, writing feature / news stories, speaking points and scripts and slide for senior leaders
Culturally aware and able to adapt tone of voice and/or format without diluting the message
