Overview:

We are looking for 2 General Operatives to work on the LNE civils minor works contracts, with one or more construction skills such as, confined spaces, working at heights, PASMA Chainsaw etc.

You will be required to get stuck in with other tasks when not utilising your skills, we work as a team at CML.

  • Your Responsibilities
  • As a General Operative at CML you will always work in a safe manner following appropriate procedures and instructions at all times.


You will work on the LNE Framework for Network Rail, undertaking railway maintenance work including drainage, culverts and general civils disciplines.


You will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles materials, tools and plant equipment under your control are fit for use and are used, stored & disposed of correctly and any defects are reported immediately to H&S and / or your Manager.


  • Other information:
  • Travel and lodging will be required if the sites are nationwide
  • Training & Development is provided and maintained by our T&D team
  • Position is permanent / directly employed
