The importance for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) is increasing; more attention is given to ESG topics within governments, businesses and other instances; new regulations are coming.

Arriva needs to prepare itself; ESG factors are required from an investor's perspective.


What you will do
As our Head of ESG Management you will be responsible for making positive steps in the field of ESG.

  • You will help to embed ESG in the Arriva organisation (e.g. motivating, visioning, stimulating, connecting) and develop an ESG strategy for Arriva Group.
In this role, you will prepare Arriva for the upcoming obligatory ESG regulations (e.g. CSRD), as well as develop Science Based Targets, acknowledged by the SBTi.

You will reach ESG targets, in collaboration with BUs and MDs and manage the ESG Data Specialist within the team.


This role will be based in the Netherlands, however there is flexibility for a location at other Arriva sites across UK/Europe.


What you will bring
You can demonstrate experience in a similar role within the field of ESG and regulations.

Ideally you have a background in Progam Management with strong stakeholder management skills both direct and indirect. Good managing skills; such as motivating, visioning, stimulating and connecting will be required in this role.
