Investec are looking for a Product Owner to join the D365 Digital & Technology team, supporting Investec Bank as we undertake a once-in-a-generation transformation to move to a fully cloud native & SaaS technology stack, entirely built on Azure.

As part of this transformation, we are heavily leveraging D365 as the backbone of our business processes.

The D365 Digital & Technology team plays the central role in this transformation, both in shaping the blueprint for the future state and the role of D365 in that vision, and also in delivering broad and deep digitalisation, automation and data-driven insights.

This is a key role that defines and delivers D365 product for an entire business value stream.

The incumbent will act as product owner across the full business lifecycle from analysis through to business implementation and benefits realisation, working in an exciting, fast-paced, creative and commercial environment.


What you will be doing

  • Product owner across the full business lifecycle from analysis through to business implementation and benefits realisation, working in an exciting, fastpaced, creative and commercial environment.
  • Building excellent relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including front line bankers, operations staff and senior leadership
  • Business analysis (including, but not limited to, needs / opportunities / requirements analysis, functional specification, use case definition, process mapping, story mapping)
  • Facilitating workshops, thinking creatively, challenging assumptions
  • Managing and implementing business change including process definition, colleague engagement and training
  • Technical integration analysis / data mapping
  • Continuously developing your knowledge of new functionality in the Microsoft platforms, keeping on top of roadmaps, studying for certifications and being ahead of the curve in regards to what the future holds and how it can benefit our end users

What we are looking for

  • A proven ability to develop and manage relationships with all levels of stakeholders from junior up to Csuite
  • Full lifecycle experience on CRM or ERP based programmes within Microsoft Dynamics 36
  • Experience of banking across a range of financial products (savings, lending, advisory) and customer segments (individuals, companies)
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics configuration
  • Experience of working within Agile teams
  • Ability to work with & produce key analysis artefacts (process maps, functional specifications, data flows, wireframes, user stories)
  • Flexible attitude, critical thinking and the ability to leverage technology to solve business problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable running workshops, delivering training and producing training documentation

Non-essential but beneficial skills /attributes

  • Dynamics 365 certifications.
  • Handson D365 low code development e.g. UI, workflows, rules (not essential)
  • Experience with JavaScript and Typescript frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of and experience with SQL databases (SQL Server preferred).
  • An understanding of the broader Microsoft stack and be able to leverage it to create powerful solutions (PowerApps, Power BI, Common Data Services, Azure, Office 365) and working in fast paced Agile environments.
