Job Overview:
This is a full-time on-site role for an experienced CNC Machine Operator

The CNC Operator will be responsible for the setting, operation and basic maintenance of the 3&5 axis machines, it is essential that you should have experience in 3 axis and 5 axis setting and operation.

Duties:

Setup, operate and maintain 1 or more CNC machines.
Load and unload machine with appropriate tools and fixtures.
Work from production orders to perform designated operations.
Perform deburring, sanding, grinding operations necessary to meet specifications.
Cut/trim plastic pieces as necessary using hand routers or a band saw.
Inspect each part to ensure quality standards.
Monitor machine for any mechanical problems, i.e maintain coolant levels and oil levels.
Complete all necessary paperwork and entering computer production information; cycle times, daily production numbers, scrap.
Troubleshoot and make adjustments to equipment to ensure quality standards.
Follow all housekeeping procedures.
Comply with all quality, safety and regulations.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

Basic skills in reading, writing and arithmetic are necessary.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions.
Working knowledge and hands on experience of 5 axis machinery is essential, this to include setting, programming and operating.
Experience of Maka 5 Axis Machine Centres would be advantageous.
Experience of 3 axis machinery would be advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Can do attitude
An ability to work well under their own initiative
