Are you a STEM student passionate about working at the cutting edge of research and exploring new technologies? Join our vibrant Technology Scouting Unit team in Malvern and:
Understand the physics at the limit of current material characterization technologies and help identify and assess innovative solutions. Explore real world research challenges and explore how these may be developed into impactful scientific instruments. Develop your skills in different branches of research and technology assessment, including design of experiment, simulation and modelling, technology readiness and intellectual property. Learn from the best in a collaborative environment with access to industrystandard tools. Make a difference by contributing to impactful projects and inspiring future generations as a STEM ambassador. Experience a supportive and inclusive culture with flexible work options (hybrid model available)About the Role:
  • Duration: 13 months, starting July 1st, 2024, ending 25th of July 2025
Salary: £18,525 per year Benefits: 25 days paid holiday + UK bank holidays, employee assist program and more Location: Malvern office Hybrid working, based on your tasks

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a STEM degree (Physics, Natural Science, Engineering or similar) that offers an Industrial Placement Year Right to work and live in the UK for the duration of the placement. An understanding of experimental planning and how to work in a laboratory environment. Experience of scientific programming like Python would be an advantage. Creative thinking design will be at the heart of this work. An interest in understanding technology challenges and effectively communicating complex research topics. Curiosity and desire to learn the projects are interdisciplinary. A scientific approach to problem solving. Strong collaboration and communication skills.
