Hackney Council is establishing a new team to manage casework enquiries received by the Elected Mayor & Cabinet, ward councillors and local Members of Parliament.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the new service and to support the Mayor, Councillors and MPs in being accountable and resolving issues on behalf of their constituents.


As Member Caseworker (Housing) you will provide a high quality casework service for elected Members in dealing with enquiries from a range of sources, with a particular focus on housing related enquiries.

You will work proactively with Housing services to investigate and resolve issues, and to advocate on behalf of Members and their constituents.

You will be highly motivated and proactive with strong organisational and communication skills, and a resident focused approach. You will be performance oriented and able to provide consistently high standards of customer service. Knowledge and experience of working in Housing Services in a complaints or customer service role is desirable.
