Location:
Hybrid - on average - 3 days per week in the Dunston office (Staffordshire)

Are you a qualified accountant looking for a varied and interesting role that includes managing a team and business partnering with key stakeholders and the leadership team?

  • As part of this role you will ensure the control frameworks are fit for purpose to ensure statutory reporting and audit requirements are met. You will work very closely with the MD and wider leadership team building strong relationships whilst managing the Finance Manager, who oversee's and manages 3 in Finance.

What you'll be doing:


  • Producing the financial management and business reporting
  • Working closely with the MD, Senior Leadership team and Finance Director, building strong business relationships
  • Team management guiding and supporting the team with direct management of the Finance Manager
  • Overseeing all aspects of finance for the division
  • Report and analyse results, making recommendations, driving performance and highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Working with the team to produce budgets, forecasts and LTP
  • Work with the business to design and implement a suite of KPI's from which to drive business performance and forecasting
  • Driving the implementation of a new ERP system that will maximise efficiency and improve reporting tools and insights.
  • Ensure the right internal controls and reporting processes are in place to meet audit requirements
  • Ensure all relevant statutory reporting requirements are met

What you'll bring:


  • Ideally an ACCA/CIMA or ACA qualified accountant
  • Proven experience of business partnering at a senior level with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
  • Proven finance background with experience across accounting, reporting, the budget and forecast process
  • Experience of driving positive change within a finance environment
  • Previous finance system implementation would be advantageous but not essential
  • Previous management experience
  • A great communicator with commercial acumen
  • Dairy or agriculture experience would be beneficial but by no means essential
