Description

Are you immediately available to start work? Do you have experience with hand & power tools? Are you local to Heathrow? If so, you may be suitable for the following workshop operative role.

Starting salary circa £13ph+ with normal working hours of 07:30-16:00, Monday Friday.

You will be part of a small team of 15 staff, making up trailers / trolleys, used in and around the airport.

What does the role involve?

Following basis engineering drawings to assemble products
Conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot mechanical failures, and perform repairs or replacements on existing products
Inspect, repair and service the various types of machinery/equipment such as wheel bearings, conveyors, turntables plus much more
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and parts inventory
Basic mechanical knowledge
Must be able to read technical drawings and specifications
Ability to work well under pressure
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
Welding (advantageous)
Engineering qualifications required
