Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Commissioning and Business Support Team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust as Contract and Business Support Officer on a 1 year fixed term/secondment basis.


We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic individual to provide comprehensive contract analysis and administration support to the Commissioning and Business Support Team.


The post holder will:


  • Provide high quality administrative support in all areas of contract development and management, including contract documentation, contract review meetings and service reviews.
  • Prepare and process commissioning and contract data, prepare high quality reports and carry out detailed analysis of information relating to commissioning/contractual processes for the Trust.

Main


Responsibilities:


  • Support all contractual processes within the Commissioning & Business Support Team as required, including producing contract documentation and high quality written records of formal contract meetings.
  • Undertake detailed ad hoc analysis of datasets using in depth analytical and judgemental skills when problem solving
  • Co-ordinate when necessary data analysis and processes for response to ad hoc requests
  • Organise own workload in line with departmental timetables

Communication & Engagement

  • Representing the trust at internal and external meetings, building effective and positive working relationships, including some negotiation around specific areas of work in line with contractual requirements and Trust strategy
  • Communicating and advising on technical aspects of commissioning data/information to Contract & Business Support Managers and translating outputs for negotiation/contract review
  • Support to single point of contact ad hoc information request process
  • Presentation of analysis to a range of audiences including service managers, senior management and external stakeholders
  • The post holder will be required to understand the wider impact of financial reports to ensure consistency and fit with Trust income and health economy spend
Service Delivery and Improvement

  • Work with the wider Commissioning & Business Support Team to redesign and implement new processes in response to policy change
Other Role-Specific Duties

  • The post holder will be able to represent the Trust and their department professionally and command respect through their knowledge and expertise.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role and delegated or requested by the manager or supervisor, as the needs of the service require.
