REED are recruiting a Payroll Manager for a vibrant professional services firm.

My client is looking for an experienced, self-motivated and technically competent Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll operations for our client payrolls.


The role will involve managing the payroll function and being responsible for a large portfolio of payroll clients from Sole Directors to Limited Companies with multiple employees.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Payroll Operations (23 years)
  • Moneysoft & FreeAgent (preferred but not essential)

Responsibilities:


  • Overseeing and managing the payroll team to ensure that all deadlines are met
  • Managing multiple payrolls (approx for a diverse client portfolio
  • Support the team in respect of all processes relevant to payroll and benefits
  • Managing queries related to tax, benefits, salary and allowances
  • Act as a mentor to junior members of the team
  • Sound knowledge of statutory pay and processes
  • Ensure PAYE payment reminders are sent to clients
  • Be the main point of contact for client/HMRC PAYE queries
  • Autoenrolment pension compliance/submissions
  • Complete year end processes and submissions including P60's
  • CIS submission processing for a small number of clients
  • Tax code adjustments as required
  • Maintenance of PAYE controls
  • Focusing on client service and meeting the day to day demands of the clients

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Ideally officebased

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ferndown, Dorset; reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
