The opportunity:

In this role, you will contribute to the smooth running of the company's finances through the credit control function.

Your key responsibilities will involve liaising with customers and ensuring that your ledger is up to date while providing direction and assistance to other organisational plants regarding accounts receivable policies and procedures.


How you will impact WestRock:


  • Ensure all past dues accounts are collected in line with corporate policy
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of billing processes for your accounts
  • Own and be responsible for assigned ledger of accounts
  • Interrogate 3rd party portals and systems for information
  • Facilitate the quick resolution of all queries both with customers and internally
  • Keep up to date and accurate records in prescribed format and systems
  • Provide weekly and ad hoc update to collections team lead and other stakeholders
  • Raise billing issues in line with internal structures
  • Attend collections meetings with key stakeholders
  • Interact positively and support 3rd party service provider

What you need to succeed:


  • Previous experience in businesstobusiness collections
  • Basic knowledge of excel skills
  • Strong communication skills and experience in interacting with both external customers and internal divisions
  • Able to quickly adapt to changeable environment and work practices
  • Be able to proactively build relationships with customers and departments
  • Must be very organised and systematic in approach to work and able to follow policy and instruction
