This is a genuinely exciting time to join the East of England Ambulance Service Trust' amidst some of the most potentially impactful Transformation and Change programmes the Trust has ever seen.


The Trust is undertaking a major cost improvement programme which is being overseen by the Head of Estates & Infrastructure Transformation with support from the Programme Management Office (PMO).


The Project Support Officer will have a key role reporting to the QCIP Programme Lead, supporting the coordination and administration which is crucial to the success of the programme.

The post will be located within the PMO.

The post holder will need to be conscientious, meticulously organised, and always act in a professional and confidential manner. The post holder will be a crucial person in coordinating and organising the QCIP programme.


This post calls for a highly motivated individual who is able to use their own initiative, work to set deadlines, deal with complex issues and comfortable working under pressure.

The role is central to the Trust's QCIP programme and will require diligence and attention to detail in order to manage the complex and varied workload aligned to the plan.


East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) employs over 5,000 staff with a further 1,000+ volunteers who between them cover 7,500 square miles and care for a population of more than 6 million.

Our three control rooms in Bedfordshire, Norfolk and Essex handle more than 1 million 999 calls every year, over 2,500 calls a day.

EEAST's PMO works with every directorate and area in the Trust. Our work is interesting, varied and challenging. The Improvement and Transformation programmes, will all ultimately have an impact on service delivery and therefore on patient care. The QCIP programme is a key part of this transformation process.


Support the management, planning and delivery of the QCIP programme, as directed by the Programme Manager or the Head of Estates & Infrastructure Transformation.


Supporting the delivery of implementation plans for the QCIP programme and specific projects, in conjunction with key colleagues/stakeholders, to ensure maximum synergy within the organisation during each project and using a consistent project management approach.

To provide full and comprehensive administrative support for the QCIP programme and for each project, as required.


Setup and coordinate regular meetings to oversee programme and project implementation ensuring that progress and actions are clearly identified and completed.


Attend any meetings related to the QCIP programme and project work as appropriate to share and exchange information and best practice and take detailed minutes of meetings, as required.

Frequent requirement for travel to other Trust sites and external venues to attend meetings, as required.

Act as the point of contact for enquiries in relation to the QCIP programme and specific projects, as required.
