Are you a 1st class Psychology Graduate from a leading University looking to gain experience working with primary SEN pupils

Do you have ambitions to become an Educational or Clinical Psychologist or perhaps the motivation of becoming a teacher?


A challenging yet successful primary school located in Newham, East London are looking for an experienced and highly-efficient SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a child with severe Autism in Reception.


The school believes in an inclusive approach to SEN, full support will be given to the successful Teaching Assistant upon starting.


SEN Teaching Assistant Specification:

  • Passionate and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant
  • A 1st class Psychology graduate from a leading University
  • Experience of working with Special Educational Needs
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Proven behaviour management strategies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • ASD Specialist
  • Working 1:1 with an Autistic pupil in reception who is very low functioning
  • Help pupil towards academic success and social achievement
  • Monitor progress using personal development plan
  • Work with class teachers and school SENCo, opportunity to work with external agencies.
- £90 per day for SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Suitable role for a prospective teacher or aspiring psychologist
