Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Neighbourhood Officer to work with one of our Housing Association clients in Surrey.

What the job will be doing

  • To successfully manage and enforce tenancy conditions through positive engagement, balancing support and tenancy action, including taking relevant court action where necessary.
  • To inspect estates and communal areas cross the patch and any areas of concern are correctly reported to ensure customer health and safety are met.
  • Complete prevoid and the end of tenancy process to ensure a streamlined service
- to undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required in line with the level of responsibility of the post and to meet the changing needs of the organisation.

  • Working with internal departments to plan for new developments and their successful future management.
  • Complete tenancy audit visits to ensure legal occupancy, check on property condition, that we hold up to date data for our customers and to identify supports needs for our customers.

What you will need

  • Understanding of relevant housing law
  • Experience of handling difficult customers and situations in a compassionate and
- sensitive manner

  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Qualifications at GCSE level, BTEC, GNVQ Intermediate, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Proven record of dealing with vulnerable individuals in complex situations
