The Payroll Officer will be providing reconciliation and compliance support and guidance to colleagues, finance team and the business.


Client Details
Our client is a well established Building and Construction business. They are looking for a Payroll Officer to join their team based in Avonmouth.


Description

The key responsibilities of the Payroll Officer are:

  • To support the reconciliation of the WVR/Recharge to the FICO and FPS
  • To support the BSC Payroll Teams in troubleshooting any reconciliation issues
  • To reconcile the HMRC payments in current period, todate and to resolve any historic HMRC reconciliation issues
  • To track overpayments and liaise with finance over their recovery
  • To provide support to the business in any fraud investigations
  • To support the BSC team in answering queries raised by internal and external auditors

Profile

The successful Payroll Officer will have:

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently on own initiative and also to contribute as part of a team
  • Excellent IT skills, including SAP and Microsoft office
  • Payroll knowledge would be an advantage
  • Good presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
