Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a reliable teaching assistant to support a student with complex special educational needs including AS and demand avoidance in a year one class.


The primary school is located in South Gloucestershire and the position is starting immediately on a full-time basis until at least February half term.

There is the opportunity to remain here for the right person.

The role:


  • Supporting the student socially, emotionally, and academically
  • Assisting daytoday running of the classroom and supporting the teacher
  • Supporting the student 121 with various tasks and topics

We are looking for a teaching assistant who:

  • Is patient, sensitive and understanding
  • Has excellent communication skills and active listening skills
  • Experience working with children or adults with special educational needs and/or disabilities is desirable
  • A strong desire to support and work with children

The hours will be 8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday, however the school are willing to consider a job share for the right person.
