I am working with an excellent opportunity for a VAT Senior Manager to join a growing Top 50 Practice.


They are looking for a self-motivated, hands on VAT expert to join their team to grow the offering of the VAT team within the business and help to develop this key function further.

You will be required to;

  • Oversee the VAT function across 4 London and Home county offices
  • Understand the current VAT offering and look at opportunities to further this
  • Develop and provide insight to enable more efficient working practices
  • Provision of practical VAT advice to an interesting mix of clients
  • Build a network of contacts both internally and externally with law firms, banks and other potential referrers
  • Train and mentor both the wider Corporate & Business tax team, as well as the outsourcing team responsible for preparing VAT returns, ensuring key internal stakeholders are kept up to date on the latest technical developments
  • Work closely with other teams internally on transaction work
  • Undertake business development such as client pitches and client training
  • Negotiate with HMRC when and where necessary
Technical work will range from advice on VAT groupings and partial exemption methods to VAT reviews and investigation work.
