Warwick Children Safeguarding and Support Team:
Warwick Children Services Team are now recruiting 2 Lead Practitioner's within our Safeguarding and Support Service. We work with children in need, child protection, court, and children in care up to the age of 14.


The way we deliver our services is principled on Restorative Practice and we have adopted the Pathway to Change model to help identify, assess and plan the needs of children and their families.

We have a experienced management group providing regular 121 regular supervise alongside monthly reflective group supervision which includes solution circles facilitated by experienced Systemic Practitioners - We work as a Team

We are committed to providing a learning environment to develop our social workers practice and support career progression. Our Team Meetings are utilised for Team Building, Learning Sets, Solution Circles. We invest in staff wellness and Team Away Days.


To help deliver services to our children and families, our social workers have direct access to experienced parenting assessors, systemic practitioners and direct work - Domestic Abuse Social Workers and Family Support Workers, Parenting Work and Edge of Care intervention, Family Group Conferences and Child in Care Support Services (Family Time and Lifestory Work).

This means our Social Workers can spend more time working directly with children and families.


The Role of the Lead Practitioner:
We want to hear from you if you are:
A Passionate and Child -Centred Practitioner and a role model for good social work practice.

You will adopt our trauma-informed and restorative practice approach to support children and families in the best way possible to achieve better outcomes.


  • Provide mentoring, coaching support and practice expertise to less experienced team members.
  • This role will support development into a management role in the future. This may include conducting supervision meetings and supporting other members of the team and providing management support.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the challenges associated with working with children and their families is essential.
  • To work with a small complex caseload, undertaking some court work, including specialist assessments and interventions as required.

  • Applicants for the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.
