Hoop Professional Services are working with a very well known Welsh organisation who are currently looking for a payroll clerk to join their team on a 6 month contract.
Although a contract position this is a great opportunity to expand your skillset and will be a great addition to any CVThis position will be reporting into the Payroll offer and will be joining a wider team of 5 in the payroll department
Responsibilities include:
- Processing payroll information within the agreed timescales.
- Liaise with resources departments / roster clerks to manage missing or incomplete information.
- Produce ad hoc data / reports.
- Monitor sickness and calculate sick pay /statutory sick pay.
- Issue SSP1 forms.
- Monitor and calculate maternity pay.
- Issue letters to employees in regards to sickness records.
- Monitor annual leave records
- Act as a point of contact for payroll queries.
- Assist with the implementation of new procedures or controls.
- Provide support with ad hoc tasks.
Person specification:
- At least 1 years' experience in payroll
- Can start in early January
- Quick learner who can pick up new processes and procedures quickly
- Strong systems and Excel skills
- Strong communication skills
- Can prioritise workloads
- Good understanding of statutory payments
