Position:


Communications Coordinator
40 hours per week | Sedgemoor/Hinkley Campus and Brean Sands as required.


Position Summary:


The Communications Coordinator will report to the General Manager and is responsible for the effective management of all communication activity within HOST and its overall success within the business.


Qualifications for the role:


  • Must have 1 year' experience in a similar role or a transferable skill set
  • Must be highly efficient and organised with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Must be highly personable with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business
  • Must be able to work on own initiative
  • Must have excellent communication skills adaptable to a wide range of audiences
  • Must have excellent presentation skills
Successful applicants must be willing to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard vetting and obtain a DBS certificate. This standard is designed to provide a high level of assurance as to the honesty, integrity and values of individuals who are required to work at a Nuclear Licensed Site or may have access to sensitive nuclear information


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Create and sustain a work environment that embraces the HOST mission, culture and values and consistently role models those behaviours
  • Ensures fair and equitable treatment of all Team Members in line with HOST's equality and diversity policies and procedures.
  • Focuses on the brand essence 'a good night's sleep means a good day's work'
  • Help coordinate creative, high quality, campaigns across all platforms in line with HOST brand standards
  • Proactively stay abreast of current media trends, key industry updates and competitor activity to ensure HOST activity is relevant
  • Work with HOST agency to provide content for any online communications
  • Management of the HOST Website ensuring content is consistently updated as the business evolves
  • Actively seek to drive improvements on all media platforms using the latest industry insights and trends and report into HOST agency accordingly
  • Create high quality, onbrand artwork and marketing materials, including poster design and adhoc templates as required
  • Be responsible for inbound and out communication to guests on all media platforms and also replying to any comments made on any platforms in a professional way
  • Supporting inhouse communications through internal screens, planning schedules and creating content
  • Clearly articulate your ideas and design decisions across the business
  • Build strong relationships with the key stakeholders across all levels of the business
  • Be flexible with your approach to work and take on any other tasks as required to support the HOST business including assisting with room set ups when needed
  • Support the Conference & Events Coordinator and the Social Events Coordinator by stepping in during holidays/sickness
  • To understand, implement and contribute to their role within the objectives outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Policy Statements
  • Any other duties reasonably required of you to support the department or business as needed
