Job Summary
We are looking to recruit an experienced Freight, Goods and Shipping Operative to join our manufacturing department in Manchester.

This role involves both hands on physical work and administration, ensuring the goods are packed correctly, ordering packaging materials and managing the international shipping.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring goods are packed suffiently for the transit method selected
• Ordering packaging materials including bespoke wooden crates
• Completing predeployment checksheets, photographs and CIPL
• Liaising with our transport suppliers, organising collections and monitoring deliveries/flights
• Must have a good working knowledge of International Shipping, Export/Import, HS Codes and dealing with our clients agents globally
• Play a key role in organising our new Goods In/Goods Out procedures

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy levels.
• Work under own initiative and use their industry experience and knowledge to lead improvements
• Comfortable communicating with people at all levels and have a positive approach to challenging situations.

What we can offer
Applicants must reside in the Manchester area.

We are currently located in M15 but will be moving in early 2023, potentially to either Trafford Park or Salford Quays.

, Mon - Fri

40 hours per week (8 hours per day, between 8:30am start until 5:30pm finish, 1 hour lunch).

Salary - starting from £25,000 depending on range of experience, please let us know your expectations

24 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
