Corporate Lawyer - British Virgin Islands

One of the world's leading offshore law firms is looking for a corporate associate to add strength in depth to its growing BVI office.

Joining a small team that handles a wide variety of high-quality international work, this role guarantees a level of exposure that is simply unattainable for an associate at this level in a large onshore firm.

You will work closely with Partners and dealdirectly with clients, advising on the full gamut of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, and restructurings.

It is fast-moving and complex work that will at times require you to juggle competing demands.

Ifyou want to practice at the highest level but find the more rigid structures of a large corporate team restrictive, you will likely thrive in this environment.

For some, the BVI is the pick of the Caribbean.

A mountainous, rain forested interior surrounded by picture-postcard bays, it is probably not far from the idyllic image that might cross your mind when you ponder whether there is 'more to life'.

It's notfor everyone.

You will need to be comfortable with a slower pace, you will see its remoteness as a gift rather than an inconvenience, and you will be the sort of person who gets more out of sailing, diving, or relaxing on the beach than you do from the buzzof city life.

To be considered for this role you will need:

A minimum of 1 years' post-qualification experience (the role is likely to suit someone up to 3 years' PQE but more senior lawyers with appropriate qualifications are encouraged to apply).
Admission in the United Kingdom.
Experience in a City/International or leading regional law firm.
