We currently have the opportunity to join our catering team as a kitchen assistant.
This position is based within our nursing home and will involve working an average of 17.5 hours per week over a 2 week rota

This will involve working:
13:00 - 18:00 Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun Week 1 &;
13:00 - 18:00 Wed, Thur, Fri Week 2.

The primary duties include:

To assist the Cook with the preparation of varied, nutritious meals for the resident
Wash dishes
Assist with service of meals to Residents and staff
Ensure thorough cleaning of kitchen area as per cleaning rota and complete documentation
To understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements which are relevant such as HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH, Environmental Health, all aspects of the Care Standards Act, have a clear understanding of Infection Prevention and Control policies, procedures and measures to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.

Previous experience in a kitchen environment would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.

Part-time hours: 17.5 per week

£10.50 per hour
