About our Pharmacy Service


To act as the Senior Specialist Quality Assurance (SSQA) and Research for East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT), providing quality assurance support for all preparative and manufacturing activities, giving oversight to the Quality Assurance team and taking a lead role in maintaining the Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS) and ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements for all pharmaceutical licences held by the Trust.


The post-holder will support the Head of Pharmacy Quality Assurance (HPQA) in providing the professional leadership to the quality assurance department ensuring: continuing service development, cost effective operation, the maintenance of the high standards commensurate with the licences and health and safety requirements, and an appropriate focus on governance, safety, risk management and product development within the Pharmacy Service.

The post holder will be involved in cross-site activity at the Colchester and Ipswich hospital sites of ESNEFT.

You will participate in a pharmacy weekend service rota providing quality pharmaceutical care to other clinical specialities as required.
