Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a graduate looking to gain experience, prior to teacher training in 2023?

Could you utilise your skills and provide 1:1 and small group support to under-achieving KS2 pupils?

  • Immediate start until July 2023
  • Location: Ward of Selly Oak
  • Salary: £70 - £80 per day

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a superb team at a reputable primary school located in Birmingham.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers to support students with their learning and provide valuable classroom assistance.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Provide onetoone and small group support to students
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour management
  • Help with marking and assessment tasks
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

Requirements:


  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the school
  • Some previous experience working with children or young people is desirable


This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, during term time only and pays £70 - £80 per day (depending on experience).
