Murray Hall Community Trust is a community charity operating across Sandwell and neighbouring boroughs. We promote health and wellbeing, enabling and supporting people in need to overcome the challenges of inequality. We advocate, facilitate empowerment, pioneer new solutions and deliver innovative services to develop stronger communities.


This is an opportunity to join a small but friendly and energetic team making a difference to our local community, by providing information, guidance and support to Sandwell residents aged 18+.


If you are friendly, organised, confident and able to work as part of a team, able to communicate effectively with members of the public and other healthcare providers and stakeholders, then this could be the role for you.


Main duties and responsibilities:


  • To assist with offering support and advice to people aged 18 with a range of needs and disabilities such as physical, mental health, learning disabilities and dementia by scoping and working with existing support and information providers already available.
  • To work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including some evening and weekend working when required.
  • Must be willing to support the other Community Offer partners by working across different areas of Sandwell as required.
  • To work towards meeting service targets, working closely with GPs and Link Workers, other providers, team members, volunteers, including community members.
  • To mobilise timely and effective support to meet the needs of the clients, enabling them to maintain their independence, make informed decisions, and to help to prevent unplanned hospital admissions.
  • To ensure that all referrals are offered basic information about appropriate benefits and to ensure that any referral needed to Welfare Rights is offered and actioned in a timely way.
  • To work with members of the public who are referred to the service, visiting them at home or preferred setting as appropriate.
  • To ensure that carers are supported across the service areas.
  • To deal with daytoday general enquiries ensuring people receive a prompt, professional and reliable service.
