Come and join us at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust as we implement improvements to our community service so that it meets the needs of our local population.

We want to promote high quality, family centred care, which is evidence-based and sensitive to individual needs.

We need a motivated and dynamic midwife to lead our community teams of midwives and maternity support workers to ensure continuity of care and carer to our diverse population.

It will involve supporting home births and working closely with our mixed caseload teams.

We have supportive management who value the input of our team members and the contribution they make to improve our service.

We are committed to ensuring you have a development plan which meets your needs, as we want your career to flourish with us.

You will be supported to develop your practice with in house training, safeguarding supervision, our consultant midwives, senior management team and specialist midwives.

You will ideally work at least 30 hours per week and be a car driver.

You will also need to have a flexible approach to working within a team which provides a 24 hour service which facilitates home births.

The post holder is expected to be an expert clinical midwife who will give advice and guidance on the midwifery care of women and pregnant people and their families

To lead and coordinate the day to day running of the antenatal/postnatal clinics and home visits and support the home birth service

To work collaboratively with the Matrons to provide and develop high quality, safe and effective service

To work collaboratively with patients and user representatives to develop the service in response to feedback received, including local and national initiatives

Be a mentor to qualified midwives, students and support staff

To be directly responsible for staff management, recruitment, health and safety, audits and standard setting
