Leicestershire Police have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Crime & Criminal Justice Thematic L&D Lead to join our Learning & Development Hub team, on a Part time (22.5hrs) Permanent basis, to identify new ways of working aligned to the transformation of learning and development and regional and national developments in their areas of specialism.


The Crime & Criminal Justice Thematic L&D Lead is a pivotal part of Provision of strategic, operational and tactical L&D support, offering advice to Head of EMSLDH, Senior L&D Leads and where required, Chief Officers, and other senior stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Chief Officer Team, Head of EMSLDH and Senior L&D leads decision making by the formulation of reports on specialist L&D issues, which would include any financial implications.
  • Assist in the development of Regional L&D strategy and Force L&D strategy aligned to the area of Crime and Criminal Justice.
  • Day to day line and performance management of the Regional Specialist Regional Crime Skills Programme and Intelligence (Crime Analyst Trainer) L&D Lead who may work on a multisite environment.

The must haves

  • To have Occupational experience in Crime and Criminal Justice.
  • To be educated to degree level in a relevant L&D or equivalent qualification or demonstrate equivalent experience working at the level.
  • Significant experience at providing advice and guidance to senior managers on a range of specialist L&D issues, in policing, or a similar complex environment.

Salary £46,674 - £50,109 per annum


For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
