Vergo have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Inspector to join the team, working in the South East area. The primary function of the role will be to carry out quality assurance audits and escalation visits to several of our customers to assess the standard of pest prevention and service standards being delivered. Ensuring established root cause and implementing treatment plans for any problematic sites that have an ongoing infestation.

With an in-depth technical knowledge in Pest control, you must hold an Advanced Technician certificate in Pest Management.

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with Technicians, Area Managers, and the Senior Client Managers to help enhance the quality of work delivered to our customers and reduce overall infestation.


Main Duties:

The Technical Inspector is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of a busy pest control region to include.

  • Organise and undertake a programme of quality assurance visits to our client's sites and reporting on pest status and pest prevention practices.
  • Write reports on all inspections undertaken and score technician and customer for their quality of work.
  • Provide advanced level of technical knowledge to support Technicians with complex pest infestations and determining the most effect solution to eradicate the pests on these sites.
  • Sell new and additional work as opportunities arise.
  • Record all visit information via our smartphone app.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required by the needs of the business.

  • Promote our Home Safe Everyday philosophy by ensuring compliance is in line with our company H&S policies and Procedures.
  • Always ensure compliance with Group and company policies and procedures
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
  • Promote the use of all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.

Qualifications/Experience:


  • BPCA/RSPH Advanced Qualified with proven industry experience
  • Competent written & verbal communication Skills
  • Full valid driving licence
  • IT competent


  • IOSH managing Safely

  • Desirable
  • Auditing/Quality Assurance experience
  • Desirable
