Overview:
We are currently seeking a Waste Operative to join our team. As a Waste Operative, you will be responsible for performing various duties related to waste management and disposal. This is a physically demanding role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to lift heavy objects.


Duties:


  • Collect and dispose of waste materials in accordance with company procedures and regulations
  • Operate waste management equipment, such as compactors and balers
  • Sort and separate recyclable materials from general waste
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of waste storage areas
  • Monitor waste levels and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines during waste handling and disposal processes

Experience:


  • Previous experience in waste management or a similar field is preferred but not required
  • Mechanical knowledge to operate waste management equipment effectively
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Good organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of waste storage areas

£25,000.00-£28,000.00 per hour
