Do you have a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or higher, experience in utilities or civil engineering, and a drive to change behaviours at ground level?

If you answered yes to all these questions, we have an exciting opportunity for you


We are looking for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team and support our Operations teams in meeting relevant statutory legislation and deliver our HSEQ Management strategy.

As our HSEQ Advisor, you will ensure that each member of the GCU family returns home safe every day and that our operations are within the bounds of statutory legal compliance.


Key Duties
:
Deliver H&S Inductions Carry out risk assessments
Conduct H&S Audits Investigate and report incidents
Support Operations with HSEQ Advice Create and deliver Toolbox Talks
Host H&S Meetings Represent HSEQ Team at Client and other Stakeholder Meetings
Assist with the development and continual improvement of the Management Systems

Health and Safety Responsibilities
:
Lead by example at all times with regards to all matters relating to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Challenge and intervene when poor safety behaviors or unsafe conditions are observed
Keep up to date with new HSEQ or industry-related legislation

Experience:


  • HSEQ Advisor: 2 years (preferred)
  • Construction (Design & Management)
Regs: 2 years (preferred)

  • Utilities or Construction: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • NEBOSH Cert in Occupational H&S (preferred)
  • NEBOSH Cert in Construction H&S (preferred)
  • NRSWA Card (preferred)
  • CSCS (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (required)

Work authorisation:

  • United Kingdom (required)
