We are very pleased to announce that our Civils team have been awarded the Key Delivery Partner (KDP) 8 framework contract at Sellafield, Cumbria.


This framework will see projects being delivered through an industry leading collaboration between the client, programme partners, delivery partners and suppliers working together as an integrated team.


Our role will include design development and delivery of the Concrete Structures, Groundworks and Blockwork package, estimated to be worth around £500M over the next 15+ years.


As a result of this major framework win, we are now seeking a Framework Quality Lead to embed and lead the delivery of an exemplar quality culture across all projects delivered under this framework.

The Framework Quality Lead's key responsibilities:

  • Support the business in regulatory change to ensure that we remain compliant
  • Development and successful implementation a Quality Control Strategy for Sellafield in line with the company Quality Control Strategy
  • Development of infrastructure to support delivery of a positive Quality Control Culture.
  • Implement technology enabled processes that track and report our Quality performance against the wider business objectives (Build Sure) and enables us to act promptly in line with the SRM Quality Strategy
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement, undertaking root cause analysis of common issues arising from nonconformance; identify preventive measures to share across the business as lessons learnt in line with the SRM Quality Strategy.
  • Accurately report organisational performance for Sellafield
  • Support awareness and educational programmes to build knowledge, competency (technical, regulatory, and behavioural) and expertise at all levels within SRM.
  • Develop and deliver, framework specific, quality inductions and training programmes for all staff disciplines
  • Develop and Lead an "Integrated Project Team" approach to Quality with the other Framework contractors and with the Client body (PPP)
  • Work with external stakeholders and further develop our external reputation by acting as the company representative at Industry/Regulatory body discussions, ensuring Sir Robert McAlpine's best interests are represented.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, influencing and supporting the delivery of quality standards/plans and ultimately providing a defect free end product.

Your profile:


  • Chartered to a relevant industry body
  • Senior management level experience i.e. has successfully operated as part of a senior management team in a large, complex organisation
  • A demonstrable track record of successfully leading and delivering a quality change programme within a large organisation in construction or a related sector.
  • Evidence of developing a strategy and supporting plans that have driven demonstrable business improvements
  • Evidence of leading culture development in respect of quality including embedding quality in performance systems
  • Evidence of having developed and personally led training events to build organisational quality capability
