The Marketing Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications strategies to enhance the Ashesi Entrepreneurship Center's visibility, engage the entrepreneurial community, and attract potential partners and sponsors.

This role involves collaborating with various internal teams and external partners to create compelling content, manage digital platforms, and coordinate events to effectively drive awareness and promote the Center's programs, events, and impact.

Assistant Director, Ashesi Entrepreneurship Centre


Key Responsibilities**:


Content Creation and Management:


  • Develop engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, newsletters, blog posts, and promotional materials.
  • Manage the Ashesi Entrepreneurship Center's website, ensuring content is uptodate, relevant, and visually appealing.
  • Collaborate with the Design & Media Coordinator to create and curate multimedia content such as videos, infographics, and podcast to enhance communication efforts.
  • Ensure content aligns with the Entrepreneurship Center's brand voice and messaging.

Digital Marketing and Social Media Management:

  • Manage and grow the center's social media presence on platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Manage and execute social media campaigns to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics, social media engagement, and website analytics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Prepare regular reports detailing key performance indicators and use datadriven insights to optimize marketing strategies.

Event Coordination:


  • Collaborate with program coordinators to plan, organize, promote, and execute events, workshops, and networking sessions for entrepreneurs and partners.
  • Collaborate with event organizers to create marketing materials for workshops, seminars, and other events.

Public Relations and Media Outreach:


  • Cultivate relationships with local and national media outlets and journalists to secure press coverage and media partnerships.
  • Write and distribute press releases and media advisories to generate positive media exposure for the Center's initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external partners, sponsors, and community organizations for crosspromotional opportunities.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in: Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a similar role within the entrepreneurship or startup ecosystem.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in social media platforms, content management systems, and digital marketing tools.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools and video editing software is a plus.
  • Enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, innovation, and community development.
