Role - Manufacturing Engineer

Salary - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Benefits

Type - Permanent
**Location

  • South Wales**My client designs and manufactures a range of consumer products and they are currently looking to take on a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team, on a permanent basis, in the Swansea area.

The Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • A HNC in Production / Manufacturing / Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; a Degree would be desirable
  • Previous experience developing production equipment and also Test Rigs
  • Excellent proficiency working with production Documentation


  • Varied engineering knowledge

  • Mechatronics, Automation, Sensors, PLCs etc
  • Ideally experience in a hands on Manufacturing and High-Volume production environment
  • Knowledge of NPI
  • Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills

The Manufacturing Engineer role will involve:

  • Working between the Operations and Development departments
  • Working as part of a team of multidisciplinary Engineers
  • Ensuring NPI into production
  • Looking to find improvements to be made for all production equipment
  • Documenting everything correctly
  • Maintaining a safe working environment
  • Reviewing designs, manufacture and also commissioning with suppliers
  • Being involved in some project management
  • Being involved in Risk Assessments and Machine Safety Reviews
  • Producing documents such as PFMEA, PCN and Equipment Logs
  • Developing maintenance plans and also tooling logs
  • Being involved in Continuous Improvement activities
  • Identifying areas to improve processes
