Early Years Teaching Assistant - Wigan

Do you have a passion for working with children within the early year's foundation stage?

Would you like to join a local primary school on a full-time basis, from January?

  • Reception Class
  • Long term role starting January 2023 until July
- £ per hour based on experience


Tradewind is currently seeking an excellent member of staff to join an outstanding mainstream Primary School based in Wigan to support within one of their reception cohorts, working full time until April 2023.


The role is a split role, working 1:1 with a child with special education needs and as a generally EYFS class TA.

Your time will be split 50/50 across the week and would also include 30 minutes of lunchtime support. This two-form entry Primary School requireda EYFS Teaching Assistant to work Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break.

What we are looking for:

  • Min 3 months experience in a nursery, school or children centre ideally
  • CACHE Level 2 or 3 (desirable)
  • Degree qualified (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, phonics and supporting key children (essential)
  • SEN experience (highly desirable)
  • Available to start asap
  • DBS on the Update service or willing to complete one

  • Have experience working with children of EYFS age

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
