An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Department of Breast Surgery.

Working closely with the Directorate Management, Sectorial & Consultant teams the post holder will have a crucial role in validating the Breast Cancer Patient Tracking List.


To assist the Directorate Management Team, as directed by the Operational Services Manager in the efficient and effective management of the Breast Cancer Patient Tracking List (PTL).

Ensure patients on the Breast PTL are booked for appointments and treatments in priority order.

To assist the Directorate Management Senior Team, as directed by the Operational Services Manager in the efficient and effective management of the Breast Cancer Patient Tracking List (PTL).

To assist and where appropriate lead Divisional projects, providing regular update reports on the progress of work.

To work with other Directorates/Divisions to ensure the achievement of the Trust's and cancer targets and objectives.


Support the management team to ensure patients on the Breast PTL are booked for appointments and treatments in priority order.


The post holder will ensure that patients waiting for treatment on the Breast Cancer pathway are validated and their treatment pathways are expedited in line with service and patient expectations.


To work flexibly in order to deliver the Directorate agenda and to offer support to other colleagues including cover in times of absence.


Navigating the complex health and social care system, both during and following completion of cancer treatment, by building relationships with professionals and facilitating access to these services including generating referrals on the person's behalf where necessary.


To provide general administrative support to the Directorates, ensuring in particular that supporting services are delivered effectively in the interests of patient care.

The post holder can be deployed across other areas to support service lines as required and agreed with the Directorate Manager, Clinical Director or Associate Director

Documenting and monitoring all aspects of patient care coordination and service delivery.

Supporting data collection for audit purposes.
