Job Overview
To manage a large team of Cleanroom Microbiologists so that environmental sampling of Norbrook's
classified cleanrooms is conducted in full compliance with all health and safety, GMP and regulatory
requirements.
Main Activities/Tasks
- Management and scheduling of Cleanroom Microbiologists based on production
- Coaching & Mentoring of Cleanroom Microbiologists in line with skills progression
- In conjunction with management, identify training needs within the department and identify
- Management of planned absences, including the approval of Annual Leave requests.
- Addressing poor performance, attendance and behaviours.
- Support completion and review of deviations and CAPAs associated with Cleanroom
- Support with recruitment of Cleanroom Microbiologists.
- Support with out of hours calls (rota based).
- Assisting in the reviewing and compilation of Standard Operation Procedures and other
- Supporting the department to meet their KPIs.
- Participate in customer and regulatory audits/inspections.
- Support the department's simplification & efficiency drive.
Essential Criteria:
- Third level qualification or 5 years relevant experience
- At least two years' experience supervising or managing a large team within a fast paced
- Experience of working in a regulated environment e.g. industrial pharmaceuticals, healthcare,
- Excellent IT skills, in particular MS Excel, Word
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable Criteria:
- Good working knowledge of GMP
- Third level qualification in microbiology, engineering or a related field
