Vida Education are looking for dedicated and passionate people to join our busy team for
Cover Supervisor work across local Secondary Schools.

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF A COVER SUPERVISOR

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Delivering work that has been preset by the class teacher.
Managing the behaviour of pupils to ensure they are kept on track with the preset work.
Responding to any questions from pupils during the lesson.
Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school's policies and procedures.
Reporting back any issues using the schools' policies on the behaviour of pupils during the class and any issues arising.

YOU WILL NEED:

To be highly flexible bookings come in at any time during the day, especially early in the mornings.
To have excellent communication skills.
To be confident leading a classroom environment with a large group of pupils, some of whom may display challenging behaviour.
To have previous experience working with, coaching or volunteering with children.

If you are thinking of career in teaching or education, planning on enrolling on a PGCE or SCITT, or currently working as a Teaching Assistant and would like further experience covering lessons, working as a
