An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Advisor, working directly for Acorn, one of the leading recruitment businesses in the UK

As a HR Advisor, your role will be to provide efficient and effective HR support and advice on a wide range of people-related matters.

This is a great opportunity for someone with HR experience that is looking to expand their skill set into a diverse rangeof HR matters, including:

As HR Advisor you will report to the Head of HR, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing HR advice on employee relations matters; including disciplinary, absence and grievance issues
  • Providing guidance on matters relating to agency workers, flexible employees & contractors
  • Attending disciplinary, grievance and other HR meetings
  • Managing the new starter onboarding process
  • Managing probation, exit and contractual change processes
  • Working closely with our People Development Manager on L&D projects
  • Supporting our Talent Scout with internal recruitment needs
  • Building relationships with employees & managers across the Acorn group
  • Working with the HR team to implement new initiatives & projects

You will need:

  • CIPD HR qualification (level 5 minimum)
  • Previous experience of working in a busy HR team (ideally with employee relations, L&D and GDPR experience)
  • Uptodate knowledge of employment law and a willingness to continuously develop
  • Passion, commitment and dedication to providing an excellent level of service
  • The ability to think of creative and innovative HR solutions
  • Full UK driving licence
