Job Overview:

Based within the Vehicle Control Centre, the post holder receives telephone and radio messages from drivers and customers to book travel using the NHS service.


To ensure a 24 hour a day service, the post holder will be required to work shifts according to a rota and will undertake all the duties listed below during one or more of these shifts.


Main Duties:

All positions are available as full-time hours worked over a variety of shift patterns and durations up to 12 hours 24/7.

There will be the requirement and expectation that staff will work over Christmas and New Year.

  • Ensure that patients journey's are planned to attend their appointments and are taken home within the required operational key performance indicators.
  • Use of Cleric control and dispatch system to manage vehicles and Third-Party resources.
  • Plan the daytoday organisation of resources.
  • Ensure the effective utilisation of resources throughout the region.
  • Support the vehicle management team in achieving and excelling in the provision of patient care and ensuring patients receive a highlevel customer service.
  • Understand patient transport and the impact it has on our patients' wellbeing.

Salary:
£10.42-£17.00 per hour
