Cloud Engineer

_Claims Management__: dealing with claims for compensation on behalf of the NHS in England_

_Practitioner Performance Advice__: managing concerns raised about the performance of doctors, dentists and pharmacists_

_Primary Care Appeals__: dealing with appeals and disputes between primary care contractors and NHS England_

_Safety and Learning__: helping providers of NHS care to understand their own claims risk profiles to target safety activity and share learning across the health service nationwide._

_IT and Facilities__: enabling us to deliver our services effectively and keep the information we hold safe with robust data security_

_Corporate services__: providing expertise in finance, human resources/organisational development, corporate governance and business development_


The Role


NHS Resolution is looking to recruit a Cloud Engineer to work in the Digital, Data and Technology department (DDaT) that can maintaining the organisation's developing cloud infrastructure and implementing plans and project tasks.

The Cloud Engineer is alsoresponsible for the provision of support to the Service Desk function as well as NHS Resolution's legacy Infrastructure.


The post-holder should demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous service improvement and development and ensure the values of NHS Resolution are demonstrated by the Engineering Team.


Your Profile

  • Computer science/information management and technology degree at master's level, or equivalent relevant, experience, knowledge and expertise
  • ITIL Certified or equivalent
  • Experience of leading and managing a team of experts
  • Experience of implementing interconnected projects
  • A wide degree of creativity and technical knowledge and understanding of current IT inclusive of Local and Wide Area Network principles and associated security.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of database and information system architecture.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Project, Visio, Virtualisation (Hyper-V and VMware) technologies.
  • Detailed knowledge of security, governance, implementation for both on premise & cloudbased technologies
