Description

As part of the Centre for Sustainable Delivery (CfSD) the post holder will provide senior improvement and redesign expertise and operational delivery of cancer prehabilitation service redesign workstreams within the Modernising Patient Pathways Programme (MPPP).

They will be responsible for co-ordinating all elements of delivery of the national cancer prehabilitation workstream, within the level of delegated authority determined by the Head of Programmes.


The postholder will be expected to develop positive, effective and credible working relationships, both internally and externally, to support the delivery of national change programmes and deliver improved productivity, efficiency and clinical quality.

They will work collaboratively with Macmillan Cancer Support, Scottish Government, Cancer Networks and wider partners to advance the availability of high quality tiered multi-modal prehabilitation delivered as part of the rehabilitation continuum.

The post holder will provide improvement and redesign expertise across Scotland.

This will include a focus on digital, outcomes measurement and support to define, co-design and co-deliver improvement that will improve outcomes and increase services' overall capacity.


The post holder will be responsible for influencing a range of senior leaders and professional staff within Boards and Partner organisations to inform the improvement and redesign models and approaches that can be used to develop a culture of continuous quality improvement, service design and transformation.


This post is part of a hybrid working arrangement with office space available within the CfSD base within Golden Jubilee National Hospital (GJNH).

There is an expectation for on-site working circa one day per month.
