My client rapidly is a rapidly growing financial services organisation who deliver a range of solutions to corporate clients. They are seeking a Lead AML Analyst to join their growing team.


As the Lead AML Analyst at our client your main role will be to work with the AML and Onboarding team on a day to day basis, reviewing their work and dealing with any escalated cases.

You will report to the Head of AML and assist them with ensuring goodpractice within the team and the business.

You will work to ensure conduct thorough KYC/KYB and continue to monitor any material changes to customers company structures/ adverse news.


Key Functions Of The Role

  • Transaction Monitoring
  • Anti-Money Laundering & KYB (Know Your Business) Screening
  • Designing and delivering internal training activities to the AML team as well as to the wider business
  • Day to day support of the AML Onboarding team and deputize for the Head of AML as and when needed, including team management activities
  • Have excellent knowledge of Company structures to ensure complex clients are appropriately assessed to ensure compliant onboarding
  • Collaborate with other business units as required to improve/create AML/KYC solutions
  • Take the lead on advanced onboarding processes
  • Ensure regulatory guidelines are met
  • Regular engagement with all stakeholders
  • Alongside the Head of AML, assist with the creation of reports
  • SAR reporting directly to MLRO

Required Experience

  • 7 + years onboarding and AML experience
  • 3+ years experience of being the main escalation point in an AML/Onboarding team
  • Detailed knowledge of conducting CDD and EDD
  • Conducting Sanctions & PEP Screening
  • Creation and management of SARs
  • Ability to understand and screen a Complex Client Portfolio (Product/Industry/ Geographic Location)
  • Ability to Onboard different types of Entities (Trusts, SPVs, Subsidiaries, Charities, Partnerships)
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the business
  • AML/ Regulatory Compliance Certification Preferred e.g. ACAMs or ICA diploma
