Job description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile leader and manager.

The Assistant Head of Regional Support Team (RST) is a key senior leader in Regional Delivery South West and Reserves Forces & Cadets Association (RFCA).

It will provide a significant sense of achievement, providing a SME centre for Customer Support and Delivery to manage complex multi-million-pound Facilities Management Contracts.

Person specification:


The AH RST enables RD SW & RFCA to operate with a consistent and coherent approach for the benefit of the customer and internal governance.

The role will drive continuous improvement across the region in relation to the HFM and SFM contract management, directing resources using matrix staff management to draft and deliver plans to enable efficient and effective delivery of outputs.


An integral part of the Regional Delivery Senior Leadership team, you are required to contribute to the leadership and strategic management of the estate, providing guidance to DIO personnel, ensuring resources are maximised to support operational outputs within the Region.

Further it is essential you role model behaviours of enthusiasm, dedication and ownership for the role and the ethos of the team.

A proven track record in operational leadership and leading a geographically dispersed team to deliver excellent results is important.

Leading Customer Delivery support, the SW RST focuses on the renewal, procurement, assurance and asset management for the region. The outputs include a dedication to ensuring standards and plans are implemented and managed.

The team focuses include business management, digital support, performance, assurance and audit checks, business continuity, managing the risk register, including escalation and mitigation plus parliamentary business.


In the context of day-to-day operational challenges, developing and mentoring your team using the DIO leadership code as the underpinning foundation is key.


Desirable Experience & Skills
Full UK Driving Licence.
