An exceptional, hardworking and highly motivated Responsible Individual to provide management and leadership for the Council's Residential Services


On a day-to-day basis, you will provide leadership, support and guidance to Registered Managers and Deputy Managers to ensure services are fully compliant with regulatory requirements and provide high quality residential care for children and young people with a range of complex needs, including emotional, behavioural and social difficulties, along with autistic spectrum disorder and physical disability.

You will work closely with the Residential Operational Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that development plans for the individual care homes and the overarching Residential Service are in place, and that progress is robustly monitored to ensure timely and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that the is a clear quality framework of service standards in place, against which performance is measured.

Unless the DBS requirement stated above is for a Basic Disclosure, your DBS must be either through us or be accompanied by a subscription to the DBS updating service.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a recognised social work qualification
  • Must have a current registration with Social Work England

Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of national policies and the relevant legislation, including Care Act 2014, Mental Health Acts, Mental Capacity Act, equalities and diversity and theories underpinning the provision of services to the relevant client group.
  • Knowledge of welsh legistlation

Experience:


  • Demonstrable experience of working in conjunction with other health and social care agencies and professionals
  • 3 Years post qualification experience
  • Previous experience within residential homes
