We are currently recruiting for a Merchandising Admin Assistant to join a luxury menswear retailer based in Central London.

This is an exciting role for an established Merchandising Admin Assistant to join a highly successful global luxury brand.


Reporting to the Merchandiser, you will help support the merchandiser develop and deliver the merchandising plan which meets the company's financial goals.

As the Merchandising Admin Assistant you will be responsible:

Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate and uptodate product information, including pricing.
  • Monitor inventory levels and update stock availability information as needed
  • Seasonal and Continuity seasonal coding system maintenance
  • Managing recoding to ensure OTB management and allocations are correct for the season
  • Assortment Planning:
  • Assist in analysing sales trends and customer preferences to help plan the assortment of products that will be offered.
  • Collaborate with the merchandiser to plan product ranges, considering factors like seasonality, key items, and target customer.
  • Build a history of best sellers by product category and key items, to help range build future ranges.
  • Assist the merchandiser with assortment planning by branch and category.
  • Purchase Orders and Replenishment
  • Generate purchase orders for products based on inventory levels, sales forecasts, and replenishment needs.
  • Continuity program management covering sales, stock and replenishment.
  • Allocations & Inventory Management:
  • Weekly store allocations in line with planned min max levels, reviewing based on sales trends by channel
  • Leasing with Retail Operations for store allocations and stock requests
  • Monitor inventory turnover and identify slowmoving or overstocked items, for promotion or rotation.
  • Supporting the merchandiser with markdowns and price checking across multiple systems and platforms
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Support the merchandiser with weekly/monthly trade reports and distribute to the wider business.
  • Assist in preparing sales reports, performance metrics, and other datadriven insights for the merchandising team.
  • Contribute to analysing sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Communication:

  • Maintain clear communication channels with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Respond to inquiries from both Retail and internal stakeholders regarding product information, availability, and allocation queries.
Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative support to the merchandiser and team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing documents.
Market Research

  • Keep track of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform merchandising decisions.

Product Launch Support:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of new product launches, inline with company calendar and marketing plan
  • Setting up store minmax levels by channel Continuity and Seasonal pre season to allow a balanced range in store
Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with various departments such as marketing, retail, opperations and logistics to ensure smooth coordination of merchandising activities
Ad Hoc Tasks

  • Assist the merchandising team with any other tasks or projects as needed to support business goals

Key skills:

  • Strong Excel skills, with a highlevel proficiency with other Microsoft Office programs.
  • NetSuite experience would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Highly organised detail oriented and can multi task with excellent time management.
  • Strength in organisation and optimising department efficiency.
