Highly respected Educational organisation are looking to recruit a permanent SEND Lead.

This role would suit a Deputy Headteacher or Headteacher looking to explore a differnt area of work within the educational system or who has a passion for SEND.


In this role, you will be working as an integral part of the organisation's shared services team providing expert SEND guidance, support and challenge to our growing family of schools.


Key to your success in this role will be your ability to share your knowledge and experience in order to improve outcomes for our pupils with special needs and disabilies, across all our schools.

You will need excellent organisation and communication skills,an ability to influence with a personable manner; challenging school leaders to ensure our pupils receive the highest quality provision.

Main Responsibilities

Knowledge and Expertise

To be an excellent classroom prac oner with expertise in providing for pupils with additional needs.

Keep fully appraised and aware of educa onal and other appropriate developments whether na onal or local and assess their impact on the school.

Identify and share the most effective teaching approaches for pupils with SEND

Monitor, evaluate and adjust teaching and learning activities to meet the needs of pupils with SEND

Support and promote the high aspirations, positive ethos and inclusive culture of the school to colleagues, governors, parents/ carers, children and members of the wider community

Provide a key reference point in providing informa on and support for headteachers and SENDCos

Accountabilities


To ensure that pupil needs are prioritised and to have a clear sight of how this role impacts on the quality of Teaching and Learning.


To be aware of and adhere to all applicable rules, regula ons, legisla on and procedures including all policies, Safeguarding & Child protection policies and procedures, Equal Opportunities Policy and Code of Conduct, Health and Safety, Data Protection.

To be responsible for your own con nuing self-development and a end meetings as appropriate.

To contribute towards and demonstrate the culture and values of the organisation through your actions and behaviours.


Demonstrate a commitment to equal opportuni es and use a variety of strategies and practices to promote the diverse cultural and equality issues.

To familiarise yourself with all critical organisational polices.
