Senior Procurement Engineer - FalconWorks IPT

Location:

Salary:
£47,683+ (Depending on skills and experience)

What you'll be doing:

Ensuring timely placement of Purchase Orders whilst ensuring adherence to Supply Chain/Supplier governance such as supplier accreditations/approvals and part classification
Effective supplier relationship management maintaining strong, effective relationships with suppliers at MD and Operations Director level
Proactively monitoring and communicating supplier's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ensuring schedule adherence using Tableau dataset. Influencing and expediting dependencies via robust review mechanisms with suppliers & internal stakeholders, managing all enablement activities to support on time deliveries
Ensuring correct and current data is maintained in the ERP system
Travel to suppliers to lead and support Business and Orderbook reviews

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

Highly motivated Procurement professional with considerable Operational experience of Machined, Fabricated and Pipes Build to Print parts. Awareness of the end to end manufacturing processes would also be a strong advantage in this role
Supply Chain orderbook management experience including experience of high volumes of purchase orders, supplier updates, queries and invoices. Extensive Procurement experience, preferably in a high volume, fast paced Aerospace, Defence, regulated or manufacturing market
Ability to compile data, analyse and propose recommendations through reports and presentations. Demonstrative working understanding of tool sets and IT such as ERP systems, Microsoft Office EXCEL is essential

Desirable:

Previous experience of managing/working with Airframe commodities gained in a Procurement/ Supply Chain environment
Previous experience of managing/working within early lifecycle programmes gained in a Procurement/Supply Chain environment

The FalconWorks Procurement Team:

The job holder will be required to work within a mulit-functional team within FalconWorks and with the Procurement team develop and deliver a performing supply chain to support the build of the Tempest Demonstrator aircraft.

The team has a high-level site presence and there will also be travel to suppliers within the UK as and when required.

As part of this role, the job holder will be required to manage a range of supplier orderbooks to ensure deliveries are achieved and all dependencies and enablement actions supported to provide OTIF performance.

Additionally, the role holder will integrate across the team to ensure business management, reporting and governance within the Tempest Programme.

This will include looking at how we can operate in a continuously improving environment and adopting agile and effective ways of working whilst assuring how we work.

Given the agile nature of the FalconWorks business, the role holder will also be involved in specific projects or opportunities, which is likely to not only involve working with business stakeholders but also working with new or existing suppliers.
